The Department of Anaesthesiology was established in 2015 at the time of foundation of this institute is a premier medical center in India. The department provides state of the art preoperative services facilitating complex surgery and manages Hi-tech ICU. Clinical services provided by the department includes Anaesthesia cover to all basic surgical specialties, neurosurgery, Oncosurgery, Urosurgery, Reconstructive surgery and GI Surgery. The department runs a 40 bedded state-of-the-art ICU providing acute and palliative care. We also provide Anaesthesia cover to CT & MRI suite, Infertility center and Cath Lab. Our modular Operation theatres are equipped with modern Anaesthesia workstations, ultrasound machines for regional blocks and vascular access, and cardiac monitoring equipment. Post Graduate education in our department began in 2022. Our aim is to train Indian medical graduates into highly competent Anaesthesiologists and leaders who help in advancing the future of Anaesthesiology and critical care. Our Dept is a IRCF nodal center for training in CCLS & BCLS since 2024. We conduct CCLS Training for all Faculty and Post graduate students and conduct BCLS for all undergraduate students, Interns and Paramedical staff.

Col(Dr) Subir Mukherjee(Retd) is the Head of the Department of Anaesthesia, bringing an illustrious career shaped by extensive clinical leadership and dedicated service in the Army Medical Corps . A veteran healthcare administrator and clinician, he has successfully commanded a Military Hospital and served as the HOD of Anaesthesia at two prestigious, tertiary-care Command Hospitals, overseeing complex perioperative workflows and high-volume trauma care setups.
PERIOPERATIVE CARE : Our perioperative care includes Pre-Anaesthetic Evaluation Clinics, Intraoperative Care and Post Anaesthesia Care Unit. PAIN MANAGEMENT : Includes Acute pain management in trauma including USG guided regional blocks, chronic pain management and palliative pain care CRITICAL CARE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES: : We provide services to critically ill patients, including airway maintenance, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, and mechanical ventilation, POCUS, Bedside Lung & Cardiac Ultrasound. RESUSCITATION & TRAUMA: Our “Code Blue” teams and provide advanced life support for medical emergencies. OBSTETRIC ANESTHESIA: Pain management during labor and delivery, including labour analgesia for “Painless Childbirth” and cesarean sections.OFFSITE ANAESTHESIA AND PROCEDURAL SEDATION & ANALGESIA: Services outside the traditional operating theater, such as in MRI or CT suites, Infertility clinics.
